The goals of Millington Municipal School District’s Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI²) are to provide a structured, multi-tiered system focused on prevention, early intervention, and data-informed decision-making. RTI² includes high-quality instruction for all students (Tier I), targeted support for some (Tier II), and intensive, skills-based intervention for a few (Tier III). This framework ensures instruction is aligned, responsive, and focused on accelerating student learning while promoting access to grade-level standards. It also strengthens educators’ ability to deliver effective instruction across all tiers. RTI² serves as a shared guide for educators, administrators, and families working together to improve student outcomes.

Grades 9-12 Early Warning System:
Millington Municipal Schools uses an Early Warning System (EWS) in grades 9–12 to help identify students who may need extra support to stay on track for graduation. This system looks at a variety of information, such as attendance, behavior, and academic progress. It includes data from tests taken in high school and earlier grades, End-of-Course exams, report cards, past support services, and scores from assessments like the ACT or SAT. By keeping an eye on these indicators, schools can step in early and give students the help they need to succeed in high school and beyond.
