Help Us Plan for the Future of Our Elementary Schools
Posted Date: 10/19/26 (02:00 PM)
The return of Lucy Elementary to Millington Municipal Schools gives us an exciting opportunity to plan for the future of our elementary schools and early-learning programs as our community continues to grow.
As we prepare for the 2027–28 school year, we are looking at how Lucy Elementary, Millington Primary, and Millington Early Learning Academy can best serve our youngest students and families.
No final decision has been made. We are currently looking at three possible models: keeping MELA as a separate early-learning school with two elementary schools, creating schools that serve different grade levels, or having two elementary schools that each serve PreK–5 students.
Before any recommendation is made, we want to hear from you.
Our short survey asks families what matters most when thinking about our schools, including strong learning opportunities, early learning, school transitions, transportation, keeping siblings together, class sizes, access to programs and resources, and planning for future growth.
Your feedback will help us understand the opportunities, questions, and concerns we need to consider as we study each option and plan for the future.
We are excited about what the return of Lucy Elementary can mean for our students and our growing community. This is an important opportunity for One Millington, and we want our families to be part of shaping what comes next.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
Sincerely,
Bo Griffin
